Does your drone videographer have the proper licencing to fly a drone?
Yes, we are licenced by the IAA (Irish Aviation Authority) and is insured too. Having this licence is very important as you legally cannot fly a drone without one.
We use drone video primarily in industrial, infrastructure, and operational contexts, including:
Energy and utilities infrastructure
Manufacturing and industrial facilities
Large operational sites and assets
Construction and development environments
Remote or restricted-access locations
The focus is on context and understanding, not spectacle — providing accurate visual information that helps stakeholders see how systems, sites, and environments relate at scale.
Alongside aerial video, we are developing drone-based mapping and spatial data capture capabilities, including:
Site mapping and orthomosaic imagery
Land and asset documentation
Environmental and site monitoring
Multispectral data capture for analysis and research use
This work is currently being developed and tested, with initial deployments focused on research, pilot projects, and controlled use cases rather than general commercial rollout.
The emphasis is on data quality and usefulness, not volume.
Multispectral imaging allows land, vegetation, and surface conditions to be analysed beyond what is visible to the human eye.
Potential applications include:
Land and site assessment
Vegetation health and variation
Environmental monitoring
Infrastructure and asset planning
Research and longitudinal studies
This capability is being developed carefully, with a focus on accuracy, repeatability, and responsible interpretation of data.
Drone-based video or data capture is most effective when:
Scale or access limits ground-based work
Spatial relationships matter
Change needs to be tracked over time
Aerial context supports clearer decision-making
It is not used by default, and is never added purely for visual impact.
All drone operations are conducted within applicable Irish aviation regulations, with careful planning around safety, access, and operational constraints.
Where drone use is not appropriate or permitted, alternative approaches are used.
If you’re considering a project where aerial context, site mapping, or spatial data may be useful, you’re welcome to get in touch to discuss whether drone-based work is appropriate.
