Project Overview

Our video production company was commissioned to create a launch campaign for Deliveroo as they introduced their drone food delivery service in Blanchardstown, Dublin. The goal was to visually demonstrate how drone delivery works in a way that felt futuristic, trustworthy, and engaging for paid ads and social media.

The concept centred around a simple customer journey: ordering sushi online and having it delivered by drone — straight from the sky.

The Challenge

This was a highly complex production that required extensive logistical planning and coordination between multiple stakeholders:

Capturing drone delivery on camera isn’t just about flying — it required careful timing, location control, safety planning, and compliance, particularly for air-to-air drone shots, which are technically demanding and leave little room for error.

Our Approach

To support Deliveroo’s marketing strategy, we delivered a multi-format content package designed for performance-driven advertising:

We planned the shoot in detail to ensure the drone delivery felt seamless and believable on screen. This included mapping flight paths, coordinating talent movement, and capturing precise moments where the drone enters and exits frame naturally.

Production & Execution

Filming took place in Blanchardstown, Dublin, with a controlled setup to meet safety and regulatory requirements. One of the most challenging elements was executing clean air-to-air drone shots, where one drone films another in motion — a task that requires advanced piloting, rehearsals, and exact framing.

Despite the technical constraints, we captured dynamic visuals that clearly communicated the innovation behind Deliveroo’s drone delivery service.
